Asian Turkey Burgers with Spicy Lime Mayo

Ingredients: 
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced 
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger 
  • 3 scallions, thinly sliced 
  • 1/2 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce 
  • 1/2 tablespoon rice wine vinegar 
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil 
  • 1 lb ground turkey 
  • 4 hamburger buns 
  • tomato slices (optional)

Spicy Lime Mayo: 

  • 1/4 cup mayonaisse 
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce 
  • zest of half of a lime 
  • juice of half a lime
Directions: 
  1. Add the garlic, ginger, scallions, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, and sesame oil to a large bowl and stir to combine. 
  2. Add the ground turkey and use your hands to gently mix. 
  3. Divide the mixture into quarters and form each quarter into a patty about 1/2-inch thick. 
  4. Set a large, heavy-bottomed skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the burgers for about 4 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through.
  5.  Top the burgers with the spicy lime mayo (mix all of the ingredients together to make the mayo) and tomatoes and serve on toasted buns.
